On Friday the 12th of May 2017, around 70 people attended the industrial workshop organized by the ALBA Synchrotron in collaboration with the EU project NFFA. Companies had the opportunity to discover how synchrotron techniques can enhance the agri-food and packaging sectors.
The ALBA Synchrotron has received a delegation from the Agency for Business Competitiveness (ACCIÓ), headed by its Chief Executive Officer.
On the 12th of May the ALBA Synchrotron is hosting an industrial workshop to share the applications of synchrotron light in the process of improving agri-food, food and packaging. During the event, the capabilities of the synchrotron-based techniques as well as case studies conducted at ALBA will be presented. A visit to the facility is also included. Free registration is open till the 10th of May.
On 7 and 8 of March 2017, the ALBA Synchrotron has organised a meeting with representatives from the Industrial Liaison Offices of European synchrotron and free-electron laser facilities.
The pharmaceutical company ESTEVE, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the ALBA Synchrotron join together to investigate the mechanism of action of new inhibitors against pain.
