Cerdanyola del Vallès, 14th November 2018. More than 80 BPMs DAQs and Feedback Systems experts from all over the world have come to Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona) to present the status of their developments, learn from the other experts, discuss about the challenges that both communities face for the next generation machines and enhance synergies between the two communities.
The program has included specific sessions for Hadron and Electron synchrotrons, as well as plenary sessions for both communities. The first day was devoted to Hadron BPM Analog and Digital Electronics and Tuesday’s session focused on Orbit feedback systems for Hadron and Electron Synchrotrons. The meeting finishes today, after the talks on Feedback Systems for Electron Synchrotrons, with the closing remarks by Àngel Olmos from ALBA.
The attendants and speakers of the meeting belong to a wide range of synchrotrons, related facilities and companies in the field of diagnostics for accelerators such as: GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research, Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire CERN, Spallation Neutron Source SNS, Brookhaven National Laboratory BNL, Institute of Modern Physics IMP, Institute of High Energy Physics IHEP, Laboratorio Nacional de Luz Síncrotron LNLS, Paul Scherrer Institute PSI, Instrumentation Technologies, Australian Synchrotron, European Synchrotron Radiation Facility ESRF, Centre for Storage Ring Facilities, Diamond Light Source, Solaris, Soleil, Aarhus ISA, Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY, Bergoz Instrumentation, Advanced Light Source ALS, MAX-IV, Spring-8, Instituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare INFN and Dimtel.
