"100tíficas" is an initiative of the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRi) and the Barcelona Institute for Science and Technolgy (BIST), in collaboration with the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Catalan Women's Institute.

We want to highlight and highlight the relevance and strategic role of women in science and technology, by fostering joint actions between academy and business scientists. We promote a more direct and reciprocal relationship between science and society, and especially, we work to increase the awareness of this group and to expand its space.

To this end, “100tíficas” aims to: foster links and collaborative dynamics between scientists in the public and private systems; and also with senior company executives and policy makers; fostering the promotion of scientific and / or entrepreneurial vocations among girls; enhance the connection and interaction of scientists and citizens, combining two-way actions. This involves both disseminating and disseminating research results among the public, as well as collecting the contributions of citizen science that are made in Catalonia. The program began in 2020 with the first activity aimed at promoting STEAM disciplines among girls, consisting of 100 simultaneous informative talks by 100 researchers from the public and private systems at 100 schools in Catalonia.

From ALBA, two scientists will visit next February 11th, International Day of Women and Girls in Science, two institutes of our country.
