The last session took place on Thursday 1st December 2016 at 16:00 h and included speeches by the ALBA Synchrotron director, Caterina Biscari, the responsible of the Industrial and Project Office, Alejandro Sánchez, and the scientific director, Miguel Ángel García Aranda.
The event also included the participation of José María Santos, head of institutions and groups at IberCaja. Companies who attended the event were: Lípidos Santiga, Intersport, BBraun, Laboratorios Karizoo, ADASA, Esteve, Medichem, Natura Bissé Internacional, Bioquim, Provital Grupo, Hipertin, Bella Aurora Labs, Kern, Enantia, Almirall and Ferrer. They also had the opportunity to visit ALBA's facilities.
The aim of the "Coffee with Research" is to find possible points of interest between research centers and companies' challenges in order to start joint projects. FCRI organizes these sessions to build bridges of connection between research and industry inside its program "Science-Enterprise", which seeks to align innovation challenges from companies with scientists, technologists and entrepreneurs who have the best skills to solve them. More than 120 companies from different industrial sectors and 14 research centers have participated in 13 sessions of "Coffee with Research" carried out since May 2014.
